This opera tackles themes of good and evil and the pursuit of enlightenment. There are elements drawn from Masonic tradition that find their way into the scenic elements. The set aims to conceal and reveal characters and locations, much like the idea of knowledge being concealed until one learns the moral lessons of enlightenment.
